נא לגעת! החומר, האנשים והרגעים שלנו מתערוכת צבע טרי 2024
בעולם של תערוכות, גלריות ועיצוב פנים, יש חוק לא כתוב שתמיד מרחף באוויר: "נא לא לגעת". אנחנו רגילים לראות אמנות מאחורי זכוכית או מעבר לקו הפרדה. אבל השנה, בביתן שלנו בתערוכת צבע טרי 2024, בחרנו בגישה ההפוכה לחלוטין. המסר שלנו, בכל פריט שהוצג, היה ברור: "נא לגעת".
העיצוב של סטודיו ולורט לא נגמר במראה עיניים; הוא מתחיל באמת רק ברגע שהידיים פוגשות את החומר. מאחורי שמונת ימי התצוגה מסתתרת חצי שנה של הכנות אינטנסיביות. אבל הרגעים שהכי נחרטו בי מהשבוע הזה היו הפנים שלכם כשפגשתם את הקולקציה מקרוב.
היה לי העונג לעמוד מולכם ולראות את הפליאה הזו מתרחשת פעם אחר פעם:
הרגע שבו מישהו ניגש אל השולחן שניצב במרכז הביתן, מתבונן באובייקטים שנראים במבט ראשון עדינים, אווריריים, כמעט כמו סופת חול שקפאה - ואז שולח ידיים. ההפתעה המוחלטת כשמרימים את הוואזות מקולקציית המדבר או כשאוחזים במזוזות מקולקציית הטקסטורות שלנו. הנוכחות האדמתית, המאסיבית והכבדה של האבן בין כפות הידיים יוצרת רגע של קסם.
אותה תגובה חזרה על עצמה גם בשאר חלקי הביתן. ראיתי אתכם בוחנים את המזוזות שלנו – פריט מסורתי ויומיומי שפתאום מקבל משקל של פסל קטן, ומלטפים את החספוס העמוק של המרקם. ראיתי איך עמדתם מול גופי התאורה והמנורות, מנסים להבין איך האור מצליח להשתלב עם טקסטורה פראית כל כך. הניגודיות הזו, בין המראה העדין החלומי, לבין ההרגשה המוחשית של החומר כשמרימים אותו, היא בדיוק המקום שבו מתעורר הרגש.
האהבה שלנו בסטודיו לפיתוח טכנולוגי, יחד עם עבודת היד המסורתית והחיבור לאדמה, מאפשרת לנו לקחת תופעות טבע ולמסגר אותן לאובייקטים של אקססוריז לבית שמבקשים שירגישו אותם.

"Please Touch": The Material, The People, and Our Moments from Fresh Paint 2024
In the world of exhibitions, galleries, and interior design, there is an unwritten rule that always hovers in the air: "Do not touch." We are used to seeing art behind glass. But this year, at our booth at the Fresh Paint 2024 exhibition, we chose the exact opposite approach. Our message, in every piece displayed, was clear: "Please touch."
The design of VELVART Studio does not end with visual aesthetics; it truly begins only the moment hands meet the material. Behind the eight days of display lies half a year of intensive preparation. But the moments deeply etched in my memory, from this week, were your faces when you encountered the collection up close.
It was a pleasure to stand before you and watch this wonder unfold time and time again: the moment someone approaches the table set in the center of the booth, looking at objects that seem, at first glance, delicate and airy, almost like frozen sandstorms - and then reaches out. The absolute surprise when lifting the vases from the Desert Collection or grasping our designed trays. The earthy, massive, and heavy presence of the stone held between your palms creates a moment of magic.
That same reaction repeated itself throughout the booth. I watched you examine our Mezuzaha: a traditional, everyday item that suddenly takes on the weight of a small sculpture, stroking the deep roughness of the texture. I saw how you stood before the lighting fixtures and lamps, trying to understand how light manages to blend with such a wild texture. This contrast, between the floating appearance and the tangible reality of the material when lifted, is exactly where emotion awakens.
Our studio's love for technological development, alongside traditional handcraft and a connection to the earth, allows us to take natural phenomena and frame them into home accessories that ask to be felt.
