תופעות טבע יצוקות לחומר: קולקציית הטקסטורות בבתי המזוזה של סטודיו VELVART
העיצוב של סטודיו VELVART מתחיל תמיד בחוץ, בחיבור לטבע המקומי ולצורות האורגניות שלו. כשיצאנו לפתח את קולקציית המזוזות המעוצבות שלנו, המטרה הייתה לקחת את הפראי שבטבע, לפרק אותו לתכונות, ולמסגר אותו לכדי מוצר אדריכלי, עכשווי ומינימליסטי שמתאים לסביבה הביתית.
החלטנו לתרגם את האקלים הישראלי הייחודי לשלוש טקסטורות שונות, שכל אחת מהן מספרת סיפור חומרי אחר שפוגש אותנו ממש על סף הדלת:
מזוזת TOPO – טקסטורה שמביאה לידי ביטוי את הטופוגרפיה ההררית והמחוספסת של הארץ.
מזוזת LINE – עיצוב שמייצג את גלי הים והמים שמקיפים אותנו מכל עבר, בתנועה זורמת וגלית.
מזוזת WIND – טקסטורה שמקפיאה בתוך החומר את משב הרוח הצלול והתנועה החופשית שלו באוויר.
כל בית מזוזה בסדרה הזו הוא תוצר של עבודת יד קפדנית כחול-לבן. כדי לתת לטקסטורות האלו את הבמה הנכונה, יצרנו שתי משפחות חומרים עיקריות שנותנות מענה לכל שפה של עיצוב פנים:
המשפחה הראשונה היא יציקות האבן. כאן תמצאו את המזוזות הקלאסיות בגוון קרם-לבן טבעי, ולצידן את קולקציית גווני החול - סדרה שעשויה מיציקות אבן חול ומגיעה בצבעים של חול טבעי, אפור, וגרפיט שחור. (עבור פרויקטים שבהם דרוש קנה מידה אדריכלי גדול עוד יותר, מ-20 ס"מ ומעלה, יצרנו את קולקציית ה-ARCH לדלתות ענק).
המשפחה השנייה שלנו היא מהדורה מוגבלת (Limited Edition) שפונה למי שמחפש קצה תעשייתי ויוקרתי יותר. לקחנו את שפת הטקסטורות ותרגמנו אותה למזוזות מתכת המיוצרות בטכניקה מסורתית של יציקות חול. הסדרה הייחודית הזו מגיעה במידה אחת, באלומיניום כסוף וברונזה. אלו מתכות כבדות ונוכחות המייצרות אובייקט בעל משקל סגולי גבוה במיוחד.

Natural Phenomena Cast in Material: The Texture Collection of Velvart Studio Mezuzahs
At VELVART Studio, design always begins outdoors, with a connection to local nature and its organic forms. When creating our designed Mezuzah cases, our goal was to take the wild elements of nature, break them down into properties, and frame them into a contemporary, minimalist architectural product suitable for the home environment.
We decided to translate the unique Israeli climate into three distinct textures, each telling a different material story right at your doorstep:
TOPO – A texture that reflects the rugged, mountainous topography of the land.
LINE – A design representing the waves and water that surround us, capturing a flowing, undulating movement.
WIND – A texture that freezes the clear breeze and its free movement within the material.
Every Mezuzah case in this series is the result of meticulous "Blue and White" handcraft. To give these textures the proper stage, we created two main material families that cater to any interior design language:
The first family is our stone castings. Here, you will find the classic Mezuzahs in a natural white-cream tone, alongside our Sand Colors collection - a series made from sandstone castings available in natural sand, gray, and black graphite. (for projects requiring an even larger architectural scale, from 20 cm and up, we created the ARCH Collection for massive doors).
Our second family is a Limited Edition aimed at those seeking a more industrial, high-end edge. We translated our language of textures into Metal Mezuzahs produced using traditional sand-casting techniques. This unique series comes in a single size, in silver aluminum and bronze. These are heavy, substantial metals that create an object with a particularly high specific gravity.
