אדוות של מפגש | סטודיו VELVART וקולקציית GATHERING בשיתוף חברת כוכב

בסטודיו שלנו, תהליך העיצוב תמיד מתחיל בחיבור. בין חומרים, בין פנים לחוץ, ובעיקר - בין אנשים. לכן, כשנוצר שיתוף הפעולה עם חברת כוכב (מהמובילות בארץ למערכות אלומיניום), זה הרגיש טבעי. על פניו, אנחנו מגיעים מעולמות קנה מידה שונים, אבל בפועל שתינו חברות של אנשים. שתינו מאמינות בייצור כחול-לבן, ומקדמות עשייה מקומית, ממרכז הפיתוח שלהם בקיבוץ יגור ואולם הדגל בהרצליה פיתוח, ועד לעבודת הכפיים אצלנו בסטודיו.
הקונספט המרכזי שכוכב התמקדו בו לאחרונה הוא MBW (Moments By the Window) – ההבנה שחלונות הם לא רק גבול פיזי של בית, אלא המקום שבו נוצרים הרגעים האנושיים הקטנים שלנו. התכנסות משפחתית בסלון, חיבוק מול הנוף. סביב הרעיון הזה, של התקבצות וחיבור, נוצרו אירועי MBW CULTURE.
האירועים היו אורבניים, אינטימיים, ומלאים באדריכלים וקולגות למקצוע. הוזמנתי להשתתף בפאנל האירוע, אבל מרכז הכובד האמיתי היה בלב החלל: קולקציית קפסולה בשם GATHERING, שנוצרה על ידי שישה מעצבי מוצר מקומיים במיוחד לאירוע.

המטרה שלי הייתה לפרק את המושג המופשט הזה, "התכנסות", ולהרכיב אותו מחדש לתוך החומר והשפה של סטודיו ולורט. לקחתי תופעת טבע אחת - הטיפה שפוגעת במים - ותרגמתי אותה למוצר עיצוב לבית:
קולקציית GATHERING מביאה לכדי מוצר פיזי את תחושת וצורך ההתקבצות יחד, תוך תשומת לב על היכולת של ההתאחדות לייצר שלם הגדול מסך חלקיו. טיפת המים המכה גלים ומייצרת אדוות מסמלת את נקודת המגע בעלת ההשפעה המתרחבת ומזיזה איזורים נוספים.
לסדרת נוצרו 3 אובייקטים שמדברים את פעולת ההתקבצות, ומשולבים בצורניות האדוות. Stool | Clock | Tray השרפרף מתאר התקבצות וישיבה יחד תוך תנוחת גוף והשיענות קדימה - יתר ההתקרבות אל תוך השיחה. מגש הנחת חפצים בכל בית יכיל אוסף מפתחות המסמל את התקבצות והתפרקות באי הבית והנמצאים. השעון מסמל על הזמן שעוצר מלכת, מפגש טוב הוא זה שכולם נוכחים בו כאן ועכשיו תוך שהשעות עוברות ללא תשומת לב.
לראות את הקהל באירוע מתקרב לאובייקטים, בוחן את הצורה של השרפרף או מעביר אצבע בעדינות על האדוות, היה הרגע שבו הכל התחבר. כשהצורה, החומר והסיפור נפגשים, נוצר עיצוב ישראלי מקורי שאשכרה מזמין אנשים לעצור, לגעת ולהתכנס יחד.

Title: Ripples of Connection: VELVART Studio and the GATHERING Collection with Cochav
In our studio, the design process always begins with connection. Between materials, between inside and outside, and above all: between people. Therefore, when the collaboration with Cochav (one of Israel's leading aluminum systems companies) came about, it felt natural. On the surface, we operate on different scales, but in reality, we are both companies about people. We both believe in local production and promote local craftsmanship: from their R&D center in Kibbutz Yagur and flagship showroom in Herzliya Pituach, to the handcraft work in our studio.
Cochav's core concept is MBW (Moments By the Window) - the understanding that windows are not just a physical boundary of a house, but the place where our small human moments are created. A family gathering in the living room, an embrace against the view. Around this idea of gathering and connection, the MBW CULTURE event was born.
The events was urban, intimate, and filled with architects and industry colleagues. I was invited to participate in a panel, but the real center of gravity was in the heart of the space: a capsule collection called GATHERING, created by six local product designers specifically for the event.
My goal was to break down this abstract concept of "Gathering" and reconstruct it into the material and language of VELVART Studio. I took one natural phenomenon - a drop hitting water - and translated it into home accessories:
The GATHERING collection brings the feeling and need to gather together into a physical product, paying attention to the ability of uniting to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. The drop of water that makes waves and creates ripples symbolizes the point of contact with an expanding influence that moves other areas.
For the series, 3 objects were created that speak the action of gathering, and are combined with the shape of the ripples.
Stool | Clock | Tray
The stool describes gathering and sitting together with a body posture of leaning forward - further drawing into the conversation. An object placement tray in every home will contain a collection of keys symbolizing the gathering and dispersing of the home's occupants and those present. The clock symbolizes time standing still; a good meeting is one where everyone is present here and now while the hours pass unnoticed.
Watching the crowd at the event approach the objects, examining the shape of the stool or feeling the stone texture of the clock, was the moment everything clicked. When shape, material, and story meet, it creates original Israeli design that genuinely invites people to pause, touch, and gather together.
